Just a short story to tell how we met Great Dane Painting. We were driving through Tim Hortons and noticed a truck infront of us with a phone number. When we called, a male voice answered and I got the feeling that he was very professional and set up an appointment for an estimate.

Testimonial for Randy and Great Dane Painting

Randy of Great Dane Painting was like a miracle after four years of trying unsuccessfully with five other different Salt Spring painters to get my house re-stained. No one would take on the challenge of the job. My house is situated on a steep slope with a dormer and other difficult to access areas. During those four years the appearance deteriorated steadily.
I called Randy when I saw his flyer, spoke to three references, asked him to come by for an estimate. I knew the kind of professional he was by the way he was so thorough in writing up the estimate. He was very specific – this was no vague document but something very explicit and detailed. I was completely impressed. This was January – I gave him a deposit, signed a contract for work to begin in June.

True to his work, Randy called a couple of weeks before he thought he would be able to begin, and with his helpers did a wonderful job in the time he said he thought it would take – two weeks.

Randy has such high standards that even when I suggested he save time with one aspect of the job (just rolling the face of the trim), he said it wouldn’t look right and he preferred to do it the more time-consuming way. It was one of the five painters who had come by (but never got to the estimate stage) who had suggested doing it the easy way which is how I knew about it – but the easy way was not the way Randy wanted it done. He wanted to do it the right way (with no money profit to him).

Everything Randy says about himself in his flyer is completely true. He does a wonderful job, he is very conscientious and reliable, clean up is excellent, and on top of it all he’s such a nice person with a great working relationship with his helpers. I should also add that his prices are very reasonable. In fact, on the third day I asked Randy to give me an estimate for the main level of the interior of my home, and he will be doing that in October. I know a good deal when I see one.
My home now looks like a different house – from derelict with natural cedar so badly weathered it was chocolate brown in some areas to a home that now looks very appealing. In fact, I’m ecstatic. I recommend Randy Gauthier without hesitation. Please feel free to ask Randy for my telephone number if you’d like to talk to me about him and the jobs he’s done for me.

Re: Great Dane Painting

Randy and his crew have just recently completed painting the whole interior of my 22 year old home and never have the walls looked this good. At the outset when no colour I tried worked, Randy came up with a selection from which I was able to pick the perfect shade. I’m delighted with the results. Meticulous attention was given to every detail in every step of the procedure. When the job was completed, the furniture was put back in place and there was no mess to deal with. All I had to do was a bit of housekeeping to have everything looking great.

He was most helpful in other ways as well, installing new light fixtures, thermostats and bathroom accessories. All of this work was completed efficiently, courteously and with consideration and good humor. In the past having my home painted had been a little trying to say the lease, but not this time. The whole procedure went very smoothly.
I have no reservation in recommending Great Dane Painting.

Randy Gauthier is a young entrepreneur who recently painted our home.  WE are more then satisfied with the results and found that working with this company a very pleasant experience.
